We were incredibly touched by the group of Israeli OTs who shared their meaningful experiences with us in a webinar cosponsored with the Israeli Societ of Occupational Therapy entitled Post October 7: Where personal & Professional Meet: Perspectives from Israeli Occupational Therapists Panel Discussion.

The panel discussion highlighted Israeli occupational therapists' resilience and adaptiveness in times of crisis and the invaluable contributions of OTs to community wellbeing in the aftermath of October 7th. Israel occupational therapists gave perspectives on:

Responding in Real Time: No Time to Waste: Liat Gafni-Lachter PhD, OTD

Trauma Informed Support From an OT Lens: Zurit Gottfried, Head of Occupational Therapy, Mazor Mental Health Center

Developing Services & Assistive Technology During Crisis: Sigal Vax, PhD, Director of Personalized Services, JDC Israel

Navigating the Personal & Professional: Orna Kohav, OT - Rehabilitation at Soroka Medical Center & The Shlemim Center

Back to Life: Occupational Therapy & the New "Normal": Dr. Vardi Rubin, Deputy Manager OT Services, Tel Hashomer Hospital

This event was dedicated to Carmel Gat & Keith Seigel, our OT colleagues in Hamas captivity since October 7 #bringthemhome
